Street Branch Royal Naval Association

Street Branch Royal Naval Association covers all areas of Somerset and meets monthly in the Wessex Hotel, 15 High St. Street, Somerset BA16 0EF. Current and ex RN, RM, WRNS, RFA, Reserves and Commonwealth personnel are welcome. Associate membership is also available to relatives of current and former serving personnel, Sea/Marine Cadet staff and civilians. Monthly meetings include a raffle and end with the option of staying for lunch at the hotel.

3rd Thursday a place to feed body & Soul

3rd Thursday is a monthly service, open to all and is Dementia-friendly. Held in St. Andrew’s Church, Victoria Street on the 3rd Thursday of every month – 20th February.
A dementia friendly space with a short simple church service of well loved hymns, bible readings and prayers. The Service is followed by afternoon tea & sandwiches hosted by our volunteers who are ‘Dementia Friends’. 3rd Thursday is open to all faiths or none.
This friendly group meets at St Andrews Church at 2:30pm every 3rd Thursday of the month.

Macular Society Local Group February 19th Meeting

The Weston-super-Mare local Macular Society group covering Weston, Clevedon, Winscombe, Burnham and surrounding areas meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month 10:30am to 12:30pm at St Peter’s Church Hall, Baytree Road, Weston-super-Mare BS22 8HG.
The group is for anyone affected by central vision loss AMD wet or dry. New programme of talks from helpful organisations and local interest such as RNIB and Birnbeck pier.
Cost £3 including refreshments. Friends and carers most welcome.

Coming soon – Highbridge Festival of The Arts in March

Entries for this year’s Festival are now closed, and entrants should receive their timetable in the next few weeks. But why not plan to join the audience? You can watch people of all ages showcase their talents in the performing arts fields of Speech & Drama and Dance at The Princess Theatre, Burnham-on-Sea, between 10th and 16th March and Music at St John’s Church, Highbridge, between 18th and 22nd March.

Burnham-on-Sea and District Horticultural Society

The next Burnham-on-Sea and District Horticultural Society meeting is on Monday 17th February at the Community Centre. Berrow Road, Burnham-on-Sea. With guest speaker Mark Bullen on Fungi Fact and Fiction. Doors open at 7:00pm. Come and enjoy a cup of tea / coffee and a chat before the meeting starting at 7:30pm. All welcome. Members £1, visitors £2.
