Free play sessions for the whole community, every Saturday!!

ParkPlay is 90 minutes of free community play, every Saturday, for everyone. Make friends, have fun, get moving!

9:30am – Castle Batch Park, Bishop Avenue, Worle, Weston-super-Mare, BS22 7PQ.

10:30am at Cherry Avenue Playground in Clevedon, BS21 6DX.

Look out for the ParkPlay flag, we’ll be there – rain or shine.

Weston Ukulele Players

The Weston Ukelele Players received an award from the outgoing Mayor in recognition of their contribution to the town and the £9,200 they donated to the Children’s Hospice South West in Wraxall. They play at numerous clubs, societies, hotels and other venues throughout North Somerset.
On Sunday 23rd June, at 2:00pm, they are making a rare public appearance to help raise funds for the Birnbeck Pier Regeneration Trust.

Weston-super-Mare Macular Society group 

The Weston-super-Mare local Macular group covering Weston, Clevedon, Winscombe and surrounding areas meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month 10:30am to 12:30pm at St Peter’s Church Church Hall, Baytree Road, Weston-super-Mare BS22 8HG. The meetings are for anyone affected by central vision loss, AMD wet or dry. Come to share experiences with others. Swap tips and strategies. There are talks by professionals offering advice on appliances to help, useful organisations such as Vision North Somerset. Friends and carers most welcome. Cost £3.

An active club for the not so active people

An active club for the not so active people. We meet every Thursday at the Scout Hut, off Windwhistle Lane. Behind Devonshire Road, Crocket Club.

We have speakers, outings, entertainment & pub lunches throughout the year. We use WDC community buses for transport. We have fresh filled rolls or soup at lunchtime .

We are a friendly group so please come & join in with us.

German speaking group in Weston

We are a friendly group of German speakers who meet up once a month. We usually meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month at the Stable Games room at 7:00pm (this date could change though, so please check our Facebook Group “German speaking group (Stammtisch) in Weston”). It’s not a lesson as such, but all levels are welcome – we chat about all kinds of things in German.  Hoffentlich bis bald!

The Agricultural Revolution 1700-1850

Weston-s-Mare & District Family History Society present a talk by Jim Pimpernell about the Agricultural Revolution 1700-1850 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church Hall, Baytree Rd, on 12th June at 2:30pm. This will be followed by a Family History and DNA question and answer session. Members £1.50 non members £2.00 which includes Tea/Coffee and biscuits.

We also offer free family history advice on the first Saturday of every month 2:00pm – 3:30pm at Weston Library so come along with your questions.
